Polish regulator UKE has announced the long-awaited LTE auction for frequencies in the bands 800 MHz and 2600 MHz, Telecompaper.com reports on Oct 13, 2014. In the auction, the regulator will award nineteen licenses for a period of fifteen years. Applicants can submit their bids until 24 November. The reserve price is PLN 250 million for a license in the band 800 MHz and PLN 25 million for a license in the band 2600 MHz. Guarantees are required of PLN 6 million and PLN 2 million respectively. Each applicant can win a maximum of 20 MHz spectrum in the band 800 MHz and 40 MHz in the band 2600 MHz. The spectrum caps also applies jointly to the capital group to which an applicant belongs.
