Kazakhstan operator Altel, a subsidiary of national operator Kazakhtelecom, has launched LTE services in the city of Ekibastuz, Telecompaper.com reports on Oct 20, 2014. The operator will stop 3G services under the Jet sub-brand there from 27 October. Altel said it will replace 3G USB modems with LTE modems for KZT 500.
