Mr. Craig Ehrlich is the former long time chairman of the GSMA. In April 2009, Craig was appointed by Bharti Airtel, India’s largest private telecom company, as independent non-executive director of the company. Craig is also Chairman of Novare Technologies Ltd., an onshoring and outsourcing software company based in Hong Kong and serving clients throughout the world; and member of ITU Telecom Board.
Dr. Gao Tongqing took office as the Chairman of Global Technology Association of InfoComm(GTI) and Deputy Director of the Science & Technology Committee at China Mobile. Dr. Gao previously held the position of Executive Vice President of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. Prior to taking up his role as a Director and Vice President of China Mobile, he served as the Chairman and General Manager of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Telecom Company, Chairman and General Manager of China Telecom Jiangsu branch, Vice President of China Telecommunications Corporation, and Executive Director & Executive Vice President of China Telecom Corporation Limited.
Mr. Sawan Gupta has been a stalwart in the Telecom Industry for over two decades, bringing with him a wealth of experience in mobile technology, product management, and the development of innovative solutions and services.
Sawan's expertise spans across driving spectrum strategy, overseeing technology evolution, and fostering device ecosystem development. His leadership has been pivotal in spearheading new initiatives aimed at creating a world-class network experience. Notably, he played a significant role in the introduction of 5G technology to the Airtel network, offering strategic guidance for its rollout and ensuring seamless integration.
Mr. Satoshi Konishi joined Kokusai Denshin Denwa Co., Ltd. (now KDDI Corp.) in 1993, after getting his M.S.E.E degree from the University of Electro-Communications (UEC), Tokyo, Japan.
Since 1995, he has been engaged in research and development of radio resource allocation and management for wireless systems. Since 2006, he also contributed to standardization activities at 3GPP/3GPP2/ITU-R for 4G and 5G, where he led several working groups. While being involved in R&D and standardization activities, he also contributed a lot to LTE commercialization for KDDI from 2008 to 2012.
Mr. Jongsik Lee is currently responsible for leading Infra DX R&D Center, one of KT Institute of Convergence Technology. He joined KT in 1998 and has worked on various wireless areas including 3G, Mobile WiMAX, and LTE-related R&D project. Since 2014, he has been leading LTE Evolution and 5G-related R&D projects. His latest contributions include developing, deploying and improving key 5G technologies leading up to and beyond KT’s commercial launch in 2019.
He received the B.S. & M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Seoul National University in 1996 and in 1998, respectively. His main research areas were RF and microwave engineering.
