Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET), one of the six 4G mobile communication licensees in Taiwan, has opened a tender for the procurement of 7,000 to 8,000 4G base stations, Telecompaper.com reported on Tuesday. FET has acquired one 700MHz and two 1,800MHz spectrums, with plans to launch 700MHz-based 4G services in the first half of 2014, according to company president Yvonne Li.
