Megafon enhances 3G and LTE networks in Ryazan
Russian mobile operator Megafon expanded its 3G network significantly and opened an LTE network in the Ryazan region at the end of 2013, Telecompaper.com reported. New 3G base stations were deployed in Kasimov, Skopin, Mikhaylov, Shatsk and Sasovo. The operator offers an average 3 Mbps mobile Internet speed in the region.
Its LTE network covers many residential quarters in the city of Ryazan. The services were started in the Solotcha suburb. The operator seeks to continue upgrading and expanding its 3G and LTE networks in the region in the future.
