Anite provides better emulation capacity for LTE-A testing

2014-02-17 16:27:25| Source:

The global wireless equipment testing provider Anite has come up with a major multi-link emulation enhancement for its Propsim channel emulator, Telecompaper reports, greatly improving performance testing of its LTE-Advanced multi-mode chipsets, devices and base stations.

The improved multi-link emulation capacity of a Propsim F32 box avoids the need to synchronize several emulator boxes, accelerating the development and verification of new devices and base stations. The new platform makes it possible for users to develop larger test scenarios in a lab environment, with twice as many devices and base stations as any other. Propsim F32 allows for the comprehensive testing of LTE-Advanced features, such as Carrier Aggregation, ICIC, and enhanced Inter-Cell Interference Coordination (eICIC), with real-world-like scenarios for each user independently.

The improved emulation capacity of Propsim F32 supports performance testing of four LTE devices and four LTE base station cells, or up to 10 LTE devices connected to two base stations, for conducting Carrier Aggregation or handover testing. The multi-link emulation capacity improvement is available as a software upgrade for anyone with an Anite maintenance contract.
