Virgin Mobile Australia offers 4G access for pre-paid customers

Virgin Mobile Australia, a subsidiary of Optus, the country\'s second-largest cellco by subscribers, now has 4G services for prepaid customers via the parent company\'s network, TeleGeography reports quoting ZDNet. This means, customers with access to the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) can now access Optus\'s 4G 1800 MHz Frequency Division LTE (FD-LTE) network and its 2300 MHz Time Division LTE (TD-LTE) network.

To benefit from the 4G infrastructure\'s increased speeds, Virgin Mobile customers will need to contact the provider. The virtual operator originally began providing 4G access to its post-paid subscribers back in April 2012.
