Hong Kong’s five mobile network operators – CSL New World Mobility, Hutchison Telephone Co, China Mobile Hong Kong, PCCW (HKT), and SmarTone – reported 2.21 million 4G LTE customers among them by the end of December 2013, TeleGeography quoted the regulator OFCA’s statistical bulletin which records separate 3G and 4G users.

Its figures show 4G users of roughly 800,000, at the end of 2012. The LTE figure at the end of September, quarter-on-quarter, was 1.84 million, with 3G user growth slowing, and a total of 9.65 million by the end of December, but still up from 9.57 million three months earlier, an increase of less than 1,000 month-on-month.
