GloBul signs network upgrade contract with Huawei
Cosmo Bulgaria (GloBul), the country’s second-largest cellco in terms of subscribers, has awarded a contract to China-based equipment vendor Huawei Technologies for its upcoming network upgrade project, scheduled to be completed by the first half of 2015, TeleGeography reports.
According to a joint press release, Huawei will upgrade the operator’s 2G and 3G networks, replace and improve GloBul’s access, core and backbone transport five-year investment cycle and an eight-year maintenance period, although no financial terms have been disclosed.
