Marvell powering Samsung\'s new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet
Marvell, a global provider of integrated silicon services, has announced that the Marvell Armada Mobile PXA986 is powering Samsung\'s new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, expected to be available in the US, Europe and Asia in March, Telecompaper says.
As part of Marvell\'s unified mobile 3G and LTE suite, the Armada Mobile PXA986 is a mass market, single-chip offering that integrates a high-performance, low-power 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 application processor and features an advanced multimode HSPA+ modem supporting Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) and 2G networks. Samsung\'s Galaxy 7-inch Tab 3 Lite leverages Marvell\'s PXA986 computing platform, including RF transceivers, Marvell\'s Avastar 88W8777 connectivity service (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth + FM radio), L2000 GNSS Hybrid Location Processor, and integrated power management and audio codec services.
