Movistar Colombia has announced the start of its 4G data plan with 1 GB of usage for 29,900 pesos ($14.95) per month, but customers can also combine it with voice plans with 210, 380, 600, 850 or 1,450 minutes for all destinations and with text messages included, Telecompaper reports. The 1 GB plan, and the existing 2 GB one, can be activated on both 3G and 4G smartphones for the same price. The LTE network is available in the cities of Bogota, Cali, Bucaramanga, Medellin, Barranquilla, Popayan, and Pasto and neighboring areas.

Movistar plans to cover 58 cities across the country, by this July and to increase that to 313 by 2018. The operator has a portfolio of 18 smartphones, from Samsung, Nokia, Sony, BlackBerry, iPhone, ZTE and Motorola, as well as Mi-Fi modems to allow multiple device connections.
