Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL) and Reliance Communications (RCOM) signed an agreement on sharing of RCOM’s extensive intra-city optic fiber network, Lteworld.org reported on Monday, which calls for Reliance Jio Infocomm to use RCOM’s nationwide intra-city fiber network to accelerated the 4G LTE service introduction. RCOM’s intra-city optic fiber-pair network has a length of nearly 500,000 kilometers, in more than 300 cities and towns across India. And companies already have inter-city optic fiber sharing agreements, from April 2013, and telecom towers nationwide as part of an August 2013 agreement.

RJIL is a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, with an India Unified License and spectrum in the 1800-MHz (14 circles) and 2300-MHz (22 circles) range for (4G) wireless services. It is setting up a pan-India telecom network to provide 4G high speed internet connectivity, better communication services and various digital services in key domains.
