Russia’s mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has deployed 65 LTE base stations in the cities of Cheboksary and Novocheboksarsk, in the Chuvashia republic, Telecompaper.com reported on Monday, adding that the regional branch of the federal telecommunications regulator, Roskomnadzor, approved the use of the base stations. The regulator also cleared 11 LTE base stations of the operator in Chuvashia, at the end of March, giving Beeline a total of 76 LTE sites there.
