Vodafone Czech Republic has extended the coverage of its 3G and LTE network, reports Mobilnet.cz. As of April 1, the operator now provides its Turbo Internet service (mobile broadband on 3G + LTE 900 MHz) in additional locations in the regions of Karlsbad, Liberec, Usti nad Labem, Pilsen, Pardubice, Central Bohemia, South Bohemia and Vysocina, as well as starting coverage in its first locations in South Moravia.

Currently, Turbo Internet covers 80 percent of the population through a combination of 3G and LTE, or 52 percent of the territory of the Czech Republic. Vodafone covers 3,091 municipalities, 1,518 of them with LTE 900 MHz. Only municipalities with 80 percent reception were reported. Turbo Internet is available to all Vodafone customers using a data tariff who have an LTE SIM card and a device supporting LTE 900 MHz, 3G and 2G. Speeds are comparable with 3G (HSPA+). During testing, a speed of 16.5 Mbps was measured.
