Philippine communications provider Globe Telecom has earmarked 27 billion pesos ($601.5 million) for capital expenditures this year. Data will remain a key investment for Globe in 2014, with about a quarter of capital expenditure devoted to data-related investments. This includes the deployment of LTE and boosting broadband infrastructure. The company is also working on expanding its mobile data reach by enhancing its mobile commerce service through GCash.
