TOT scraps AIS 4G alliance plan
The State-backed Thai Telco TOT has confirmed the scrapping of a proposed 4G partnership with mobile market leader AIS, saying it faced contractual difficulties during the country’s ongoing political deadlock, Telegeography.com reports.
TOT had plans to rent out an unused 2×5-MHz block of 2,100-MHz mobile spectrum (out of a total 2×15-MHz bandwidth) to AIS for 4G services, under a one-year deal.
