Huawei and CPqD set up 4G software lab
Huawei and Brazilian research institute CPqD announced the establishment of a laboratory to create innovative software for LTE networks, Telecompaper.com reports.
The R&D partnership seeks to encourage innovation in software for 4G networks based on the service platform of the Chinese supplier. The laboratory will be built on the premises of CPqD in Campinas and will house technical teams from both companies in the areas of business support systems and service platform.
Besides working on the improvement of billing solutions, the lab will also develop Android, iOS and Windows Phone apps to improve the relationship between operators and customers, with the creation of new service channels and unified communications.
