T-Mobile Czech Republic plans to be providing 3G and LTE networks for 93 percent of the country’s population, across 80 percent of its territory by the end of this year, with its LTE network serving 51 percent of the people and 73 percent of the area, Lteworld.org reports, noting that the operator already has LTE network 800-MHz spectrum in the Plzeň-South district.

It intends to complete the LTE rollout in parts of the Czech capital by October and, by year’s end to have pilot operation of a new Voice over LTE (VoLTE) function. T-Mobile has already put nearly CZK4-billion ($203.1 million) into its LTE operation (including frequencies that it obtained at auction) and is planning to put another CZK13-billion over the next few years.
