O2 and T-Mobile sharing 4G access in Czech Republic
Two leading Czech operators, O2 (owned by PPF) and T-Mobile (Deutsche Telekom), have agreed to share radio access equipment for LTE coverage across the Czech Republic, except in the cities of Brno and Prague, developingtelecoms.com has written, but adding that the cooperation will be strictly limited so that the pair will not share core infrastructure or business strategies.
Nonetheless, the agreement will allow them to provide 4G coverage well in advance of the deadlines specified in the license. These two November 2013 auction winners are expected to roll out coverage of 50 percent of districts, within 30 months.
