India’s telecom operator Videocon Telecom said on Thursday it would offer ultrafast 4G mobile Internet services at existing 2G and 3G prices, deccanchronicle.com reports, quoting its director and chief executive officer Arvind Bali. “We will be offering 4G at 2G, 3G rates. It will take us three to four months to deploy the technology from the date we place the purchase order. We will start with 10 cities. 4G networks can deliver five to 50 times the speed of 3G,” he said.

Videocon at present is permitted to operate in seven service areas but it has operations in four circles only. The company has plans to launch 4G services by the end of the current financial year.
