Hungarian industry regulator, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), last week called a tender to sell off a number of 20-year broadband mobile licenses suitable for 4G/LTE services as it looks to stimulate development in the domestic high-speed Internet market, Telegeography.com reports.

In its statement, the watchdog confirmed plans to auction off unused parts of the 800MHz, 900MHz, 1,800MHz and 2,600MHz frequency bands – along with part of the higher 26GHz band – which it hopes will raise at least 104 billion Hungarian forint ($468.7 million) for government coffers.
