China ends April with massive number of telephony users
By the end of April, China reported 1.25 billion mobile subscribers, adding 3.44 million during the month, the Marbridge Daily reports, citing Ministry of Industry and Information Technology data. In April, the number of fixed-line subscribers was down by 1.94 million, to 261.76 million, while among mobile subscribers, there were 9.18 million new 3G users for the month, for a total of 454.2 million. By the end of March, the number of LTE subscribers was up 2 million, for a total of 4.8 million. The country\'s telecommunications operator\'s capex for the January-April 2014 period reached 65.26 billion yuan ($10.4 billion), flat year-on-year.
