America Movil has selected Alcatel-Lucent to rollout a 4G LTE network in the Dominican Republic, Telecompaper.com wrote on July 9, 2014. Under the agreement, the French company will provide its 4G LTE network overlay solution for America Movil\'s local unit Claro. The operator\'s network will cover most of the country\'s territory and will reach up to 80 percent of its population. Claro currently has nearly 6 million mobile subscribers in the Dominican Republic.
