T-Mobile Austria ends Q2 with 4.12 million customers

T-Mobile Austria generated sales of EUR 201 million ($268.55 million) in Q2 2014, compared to EUR 197 million ($263.21 million) a year earlier, with subscription revenue down 1.8 percent year-on-year, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 7, 2014. Lower mobile-service revenue was offset by increased revenue from end-user devices. Adjusted EBIT reached EUR 32.1 million ($42.89 million) in Q2 2014, with adjusted EBITDA reaching EUR 59.5 million ($79.5 million). The company added 27,000 net new customers in the first half of the year to reach a total of 4.12 million mobile customers, with ARPU stable at EUR 14 ($18.71). Meanwhile, T-Mobile Austria has tested higher-speed LTE services in Schwechat using MIMO technology. This will support maximum LTE data rats of 290 Mbps, compared to 150 Mbps currently.
