Verizon Wireless has made Push to Talk Plus available to Verizon customers with enhancements such as improved voice quality and faster call set-up time on Verizon\'s LTE network, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 7, 2014. The service is powered by Kodiak Networks, a global provider of push-to-talk platforms.

Push to Talk Plus comes equipped with a “Talker Priority” feature that allows the initiator to override a group call and be the only speaker anyone hears. A “Late Join” feature allows users to join the group call late and a “Rejoin” feature allows users to drop and rejoin ongoing group calls. Users also have the option to use Push to Talk over Wi-Fi. Push to Talk Plus is available on smartphones including the Droid Maxx, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Casio G\'zOne Commando LTE, among others. The service will soon be available on additional devices, including the ruggedized Kyocera Brigadier.

For a limited time, customers who add Push to Talk Plus to their account will receive credit for the first six months of service. Following six months, a monthly access fee of $5 applies.
