MTN South Africa links prepaid users to LTE
MTN South Africa says its pre-paid users now have access to its LTE network, provided they have a device that supports the technology and the correct SIM, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 12, 2014. At least a 128k SIM is required, MTN said, adding that these SIMs are identifiable by their 3G or LTE branding on the back of the card. Subscribers must also ensure that LTE service has been loaded and is active on their accounts by calling either the pre-paid (173) or contact call center (808) line.
