Encore Networks unveils M2M VPN wireless router

2014-08-14 14:49:28| Source:

Encore Networks, a provider of M2M products for fixed and wireless communications, launched an ultra-low-cost wireless VPN router called the EN-2000, reported Telecompaper.com on Aug 13, 2014. This newest addition to the EN 4G LTE family of routers is designed for high-availability M2M applications in fixed or portable locations supporting Business Continuity, Video Surveillance, Digital Signage and Remote Access on both the Public and Private Verizon Wireless LTE network.

The “cloud-ready” EN-2000 wireless router uses the Quanta LTE-only module to leverage the advantages of Verizon’s LTE to drive applications. Enterprise customers can use LTE as a primary or back-up connection, eliminating the high costs of traditional wired networks and their related challenges including install times and outages. The LTE-only embedded module consumes less power than traditional dual radio 4G/3G modules, which can cost up to three times more.

All Encore wireless routers move data through a public or private IP cellular infrastructure, removing the dependence on copper lines while providing VPN technology. The Encore equipment provides license-free Enterprise Class IP, VPN, Firewall, Routing and IP-interworking features. The EN-2000 comes with a three-year warranty and is available at a list price of $285. Discounts are available to dealers, distributors and resellers.
