The fourth Slovak mobile operator Swan will build the first 300 base stations for its LTE network by the end of the year, reported Telecompaper.com on Aug 15, 2014. ZTE shall be the technology supplier. The first test connections are expected in October. The operator plans to build a LTE network with 1,100 base stations within three years. Swan got a license for 2x15 MHz in the 1,800 MHz band in the auction in 2013. Swan already tested LTE in Bratislava, Trnava, Nitra and Pezinok. It met the license requirements before the deadline.
