Brazilian pay-TV operator Sky Brasil will offer its fixed Internet service in Porto Velho, state of Rondonia, from August 19, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 15, 2014. With 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps plans, the Sky Banda Larga service uses TD-LTE technology. The implementation of broadband in Porto Velho will be conducted in stages. Besides Porto Velho, Sky Banda Larga is available in the Federal District and another 40 cities in the states of Sao Paulo, Bahia, Sergipe, Pernambuco, Espirito Santo, Alagoas, Paraiba, Para, Maranhao, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceara, Mato Grosso and Goias.
