T-Mobile Montenegro, the wireless arm of fixed line incumbent Crnogorski Telekom, has expanded its 3G coverage with the activation of 27 new sites in 15 municipalities, Telegeography.com writes on Oct 13, 2014. Following the extension, the cellco’s 3G network now covers around 540,000 Montenegrins, or 87% of the population, compared to 496,000 (80%) at the start of September this year. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, T-Mobile claimed 61,747 3G subscribers at the end of June 2014, falling behind its rival Telenor, which counted 85,174 3G users at that date, but ahead of MTEL’s 32,950 3G customers.
