IIJ selected as MVNE for Panasonic\'s MVNO launch
Japanese internet and network services provider Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) has announced its support for the entry of Panasonic Corporation into the MVNO business, Telecompaper.com reports on Oct 15, 2014. As an MVNE, IIJ has built a service platform with IIJ Mobile Service for Panasonic\'s MVNO service which started on 14 October. Apart from providing the LTE and 3G networks, IIJ has built systems and functions for Panasonic\'s MVNO service platform, including communication control system; customer management, billing, and invoice functions; and secure remote access platform.
Panasonic’s MVNO business now provides a one-stop service that covers devices, networks, and the cloud computing service. The company expects to apply this MVNO service to solutions that focus on Panasonic Group hardware, such as integration of communication functions with its products, or services that allow for remote maintenance and management of devices.
