AT&T to offer Asus PadFone X mini powered by Intel in the US
Asus, AT&T and Intel has announced the availability of the Asus PadFone X mini, a 4.5-inch LTE2 smartphone powered by the Intel Atom processor and Intel XMM 7160 LTE modem, reports Telecompaper.com on Oct 15, 2014. The PadFone x mini transforms into a 7-inch LTE tablet-like experience when docked into its companion docking station. It will be available in AT&T retail stores on 24 October and in national retailers by November. The smartphone will retail for $ 199.99 on GoPhone, AT&T\'s branded prepaid service.
The PadFone x mini is the first smartphone in the US powered by an Intel application processor and an Intel LTE platform. The device features automatic charging with up to 28.3 hours of battery life when the phone is docked into the station, a 5-megaxpixel PixelMaster camera, Asus DynamicDisplay technology that reizes apps for the different display sizes, Asus ZenUI user interface and a side flip cover and tricover.
