Canada’s telecoms provider ABC Communications has partnered with Huawei in delivering TD-LTE fixed wireless broadband services, claiming it to be the first commercial rollout of the technology in British Columbia, according to a press release from Telegeography.com.

ABC’s newly upgraded wireless broadband network uses licensed 3.5-GHz spectrum with “up to 20-km of linear service range” and internet access speeds of up to 50Mbps, with IP voice and video capabilities. Chris Allen, ABC’s president, explained, “LTE is the leading wireless technology today and we’re pleased to work with Huawei Canada to provide this solution to rural, urban and enterprise customers throughout our market areas.”
