Datang Telecom Technology & Industry Group hosted LTE-Hi Standard, Technology and Industry Development Seminar at its Beijing headquarters on April 3. Wu HeQuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Yin Hao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Wang Zhiqin, director of the Standards Institute belonging to the Telecommunications Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China; Liu Guangyi, chief engineer of the Wireless Communication Technology Research Institute of the China Mobile Research Institute; and more than 10 other industry experts from China Mobile Research Institute and the State Radio Monitoring Center attended the seminar.

They exchanged ideas and discussions with Datang Telecom Group Vice-President Chen Shanzhi and Datang Telecom Group Director Engineer Dr. Wang Yingmin, touching on issues such as LTE-Hi frequency planning, key technologies, standards, research, networking technology and solutions.

At the seminar, the Datang Telecom Wireless Innovation Centre, jointly with Datang Mobile and Leadcore Technology Co, used a 3.5GHz band to complete the first LTE-Hi service demo based on a commercial-oriented compacted base station in the industry. Conducted in the seminar, the LTE-Hi significant technical feature demonstration – including dynamic TDD and U/C separation, as well as the LTE-Hi performance presentation – covered topics such as HD video conferencing, high-speed video-on-demand and featured business presentations. It received unanimous positive feedback from all the attendees.
