Slovak Telekom has extended its LTE network coverage in the capital of Bratislava and in the city of Kosice, Telecompaper.com reported on Wednesday.

The operator will use frequencies from the 2,600 MHz band, with a 20 MHz bandwidth and theoretical downstream speeds of up to 150 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up. According to internal tests, downstream speeds ranged from 60 to 130 Mbps, and upstream ranged from 30 to 35 Mbps. Slovak Telekom launched LTE on Nov 15, 2013. Its LTE network covers 23.7 percent of the population in 31 cities.
