Amazon has opened a new branch of its Internet warehouse strictly for the burgeoning tech segment, reports Techradar.com, which goes on to say that, even without a wearable device of its own, Amazon\'s new storefront is dedicated to smartwatches, activity cameras, wearable cameras and other kinds of wearable-tech goods, and contains products from all the big wearable producers, including Samsung, GoPro, and Jawbone, as well as newcomers like Misfit and Narrative, and quotes John Nemeth, director of Wireless and Mobile Electronics at Amazon, as saying in a release, "Wearable technology is an exciting category with rapid innovation and more customers are coming to Amazon to shop and learn about these devices."

There were remarks about this being a smart move for Amazon, catching the wearable wave just as it begins, with more mature devices, such as Pebble Steel and Samsung Galaxy Gear 2. The question now is whether Amazon has any interest in producing wearable gear of its own. So far, there haven\'t heard any wrist- or other-worn rumblings from the e-tailer.
