SingTel has started what it says is the world’s first full-featured Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) service that allows clearer conversations and faster connection times over the 4G network, in cooperation with Samsung and Ericsson, Todayonline.com reports, explaining that the 4G ClearVoice service is expected to connect calls within two seconds, which is up to five times faster than with conventional voice services. It is also expected to provide clearer voice calls by using a broader range of audio frequencies, and a full suite of telephony features, such as call waiting and forwarding on the 4G network.

It will be available only to those using the Samsung GALAXY Note 3 phone, who will be able to enjoy the service via a software upgrade, from May 31, while new Note 3 handsets will come with the update installed. The service will be made available to users of other popular 4G handsets in the coming months, the telco said.
