India’s telecommunications operator Videocon Telecom has partnered with Chinese telecoms equipment manufacturer Huawei for the implementation of 4G LTE-ready Packet Core technology, Telecompaper.com writes. The agreement encompasses the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) technology for the core network.

Videocon Telecom plans to cover the cities of Ahmedabad, Indore and Panipat in the initial phase of mobile broadband implementation. The LTE-ready infrastructure will be extended to other cities and towns in the six telecom circles of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Haryana, UP-East, UP-West and Bihar in the coming phases.
