Slovak Telekom announced that its LTE network has been extended to 40 percent of the population and 45 cities, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 11, 2014. The most recent areas to receive the 4G service are Dunajska Streda, Komarno, Lucenec, Michalovce, Modra, Senec and Stupava. The network there uses the 800 MHz band and offers speeds up to 73/23 Mbps.
