TIM said its LTE “Ultra Internet 4G” service covered 22 municipalities in central Umbria as of the beginning of August, up from 12 in February, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 11, 2014. The service offers theoretical maximum speeds of 100 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. TIM\'s LTE network also covered 1,138 Italian municipalities nationwide at the beginning of August, up from the 651 announced in February. The company expects to cover all cities with over 35,000 inhabitants by the end of 2014.
