Russian mobile operator Megafon has launched its LTE network in the Ivanovo and Novgorod regions, after recently bringing it to the Smolensk region, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 11, 2014. The services are currently only available in the three regional centers, but coverage is slated to be expanded in the future. Around 2.2 million of the operator’s subscribers used LTE services in the first half of this year. Megafon currently provides LTE services in 66 regions across the country.
