Claro Puerto Rico expands 3G, 4G coverage
Claro Puerto Rico has expanded the coverage and capacity of its 3G and 4G networks in the northern, western and eastern regions of the country, according to Telecompaper.com on Aug 11, 2014. The operator said that 4G LTE technology was recently launched in Juana Diaz, Yauco, Isabela, Arroyo, Naguabo, Las Piedras, Luquillo and Salinas. Claro Puerto Rico also said that total investment of $1.5 billion in the deployment of last-generation mobile networks. The operator is fully owned by Mexican telco America Movil.
