Russian mobile operator MTS has expanded the coverage of its network in the Kemerovo region, reports Cnews.ru. The coverage was expanded in 53 agglomerations, and the capacity of the network doubled. Some 20 percent of base stations were upgraded, and all 3G base stations were switched to IP technologies. Over 80 percent of 3G base stations support DC-HSDPA+, preparing the infrastructure for the introduction of LTE. The quality of mobile services was raised on motorways connecting Kemerovo with Novosibirsk and Mariinsk.
