Ecuador ended July with a total of 4,973 4G LTE subscribers, El Comercio reports noting that 4,866 4G lines are prepaid while the remaining 107 are prepaid lines. State run telecoms operator CNT is the only company which currently offers LTE in Ecuador. The operator initially launched LTE technology at the end of November 2013. The government is currently in process to negotiate 4G concessions with private operators Claro and Movistar.
