Colombian telecoms operator Avantel has launched its 4G service in Barranquilla, Telecompaper.com reported on Sept 12, 2014. The telco expects to provide 4G LTE services in 60 cities across Colombia by mid-2015. On 20 August, the telecoms operator launched LTE services in 22 cities across the country, with a total investment of USD 250 million. The operator, which focuses on the corporate segment, offers 4G LTE services through spectrum in the AWS band.
