MTS doubles LTE coverage in Yekaterinburg

Russian mobile operator MTS raised the coverage of its LTE network in the Yekaterinburg region in the second quarter, reported Telecompaper.com on Sept 12, 2014. The amount of LTE base stations has doubled in the region since the launch of the 4G services. LTE services at up to 75 Mbps have been launched in seven additional agglomerations: Pervouralsk, Maly-Istok, Karasyeozyorskiy, Baltym, Khrustalny, Zalesye and Kashino. The coverage of the LTE network was also increased in Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy-Tagil, Kamensk-Uralskiy, Verkhnyaya-Pyshma, Sysert and Revda.

LTE services from MTS are accessible in 40 agglomerations in Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Tyumen regions in the Urals.
