Beeline expands LTE coverage in Moscow region

Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has significantly expanded the coverage of its LTE network in the Moscow region, Telecompaper.com reports on Nov 14, 2014. LTE services were launched in the cities and towns of Balashikha, Zheleznodorozhny, Zhukovskiy, Odintsovo, Reutov, Krasnogorsk, Vidnoye and Mytishchi in the third quarter. The operator plans to soon cover the aglomerations of Dolgoprudny, Domodedovo, Istra, Klimovsk, Koroloyv, Mitino, Novokosino, Podolsk, Pushkino, Ramenskoye, Shchyolkovo, Shcherbinka and Yuzhnoye-Butovo. LTE services are being provided over the 2,600 MHz band there, with average speed at 20 Mbps and maximum speeds of 73 Mbps. LTE services from Beeline became accessible in the cities of Khimky, Lyubertsy, Podolsk and Zelenograd in the second quarter.
