Ericsson and Qualcomm announced they have completed the first interoperability test of LTE Category 9 connectivity, with download speeds of up to 450 Mbps, Telecompaper.com writes on Nov 18, 2014. Testing was conducted using Ericsson\'s LTE-Advanced network infrastructure and Qualcomm\'s next-generation LTE-Advanced modem. Inter-company vendor interoperability testing between network and device is key to enabling large-scale commercial deployments. The companies did not say when they expect commercial Category 9 products to reach the market.
