Kazakhstan operator Altel, a subsidiary of national operator Kazakhtelecom, has announced that it will stop providing its 3G services under the Jet sub-brand in the cities of Zhezkazgan, Kulsary and Rudny from 18 November, Telecompaper.com writes on Nov 18, 2014. The change is related to Altel\'s preparations to launch operation of its multi-service GSM/UMTS/LTE network there. The operator is offering subscribers the opportunity to replace their 3G USB modems with LTE ones at a discounted price of KZT 550.
