Deutsche Telekom has denied delaying provisions of LTE Cat 6 services, saying it is merely a matter of waiting for the relevant devices to become available, according to Telecompaper.com on Sept 2, 2014. Spokesman Frank Domagala told the website that the company does not have an exact date when the 300 Mbps service will commence.

At the CeBIT trade fair, the operator had said the service would be available in the summer, but it expected devices supporting the technology to be on the market as early as June. Huawei presented its E5786 mobile hotspot as long ago as February\'s Mobile World Congress, but it is still not on sale.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is meant to be the first smartphone to support LTE Cat 6 and is about to come on the market, with Deutsche Telekom\'s website saying it will deliver it in September.
